NICOLA

Director
Singing | Piano | Songwriting

I can’t remember a time when I haven’t been obsessed with music! I started singing lessons at the age of 14 and began teaching 7 years ago.
I completed my Advanced Certificate in Music Performance, majoring in vocals, and went on to complete a Music Supervision (sync licensing) course through Berklee College Of Music based in the USA. I was then lucky enough to travel to over 30 countries singing professionally on cruise lines.

I started song writing at an early age and have since gained extensive recording experience, I’ve written and recorded a full length album and have had the opportunity to have my songs played on both national and international radio.

I love to see students get inspired and see the results of taking small steps in improving their technique. The change in my students voices and confidence is phenomenal to witness!

KYLE

Director
Drums | Music Business

Drumming has been my passion since I started playing at the age of 9. I have played in various bands and after school went on to complete my Advanced Certificate in Music Performance, majoring in drums. I’ve also completed my Grade 8 Drums Certificate through Rockschool.
As a band leader, I have completed cruise line contracts in Europe, USA, the Caribbean and Australasia and have extensive experience in both live performance & recording.

As an Artist Liaison in music management I’ve worked alongside both artists and clients, assisting with everything from performance contracts to being on location for live shows and festivals for artists including Incubus and Bastille.

I’ve taught a multitude of students from kids to adults, ranging from absolute beginners to advanced players. My passion is to see students develop their unique set of skills, growing in musicality and technique but ultimately having fun along the way.

PATCH

Guitar | Bass | Music Theory

From an early age, I was hooked by the deep tones of the musical range. Being classically trained on viola, then falling in love with the bass, I knew music was the career I wanted to pursue.

I graduated from the Brit School with an Advanced Diploma in Music, where I was introduced to a new world of musical genres and possibilities.  As a performing musician, I continue to use my training as a session player, band member, composer and arranger, and have cultivated working relationships with many artists and industry professionals.

I have ample experience in playing and recording bass and guitar, and have a keen interest in jazz and music theory. Having taught students with a wide range of experience, I’ve enjoyed seeing them improve their musical ability by working on technique and understanding of music theory, as well as helping them realise the joy of playing music together.

Cathy

Piano | Music Theory

I began playing the piano aged 8 and have trained classically
with ABRSM and achieved all 8 Piano Grades. I studied Music all through school and went on to study at the Brit School of Performing Arts, where I achieved a B-Tec National Diploma in Performing arts.

After this I went on to work for a music company which involved writing and singing on dance tracks and many hours of studio time. I have featured on multiple cd’s and Vinyl records.

I have played in numerous classical concerts and local music festivals to build my repertoire of music over the years. With over 20 years of teaching experience, I enjoy helping students achieve their Graded Certificates and enjoy encouraging pupils overall to have fun and maintain an interest in Piano.

INÊS

Singing

I completed my music degree in Portugal at Lisbon Conservatory of Music and further developed my singing skills with a Post-graduation in Belgium. I also attended several masterclasses to develop my technique, stage performance and choreographic singing.

I’ve been a professional singer for over 20 years performing in concert halls and theatres all over Europe and Asia, covering different music styles such as opera, musical theatre, rock, pop and jazz. All while working alongside recording labels and tv production companies with my most recent project being a Queen’s tribute.

For the past 13 years I’ve been working as a singing teacher which I am very passionate about! Working with the voice is an everyday challenge. My goal is to always help my students achieve their goals, whether it is improving their singing technique or stage performance.

NICK

Piano

I’ve been playing the piano since the age of 6, training in both classical and jazz styles. I then started on the clarinet aged 9, and recently I’ve begun to learn bass guitar. Music is one of the few things that almost never feels like work for me, so my interest in it has only grown over the years.

At the age of 15 I started to take writing my own music more seriously, and decided to pursue music as a career. I graduated from the University of Surrey with a degree in Creative Music Technology, specialising in composition. My time at university exposed me to a wide range of musical genres and opportunities for performance, on both piano and clarinet, and with more unusual electronic instrumentation. I have two self-released albums on Spotify and a third in the works.

I love to pass my knowledge onto other people and inspire them to learn how to express themselves within music.
